This is an experiment, because I wanted to see a little koi style mermaid. Isn't she lovely?
I also wanted to test my new box of color pencils.
I had so much fun doing this pic. And I´m so proud of that dragonfly. *_*

Excellen use of complimentary colors, both in the red and green oposites and the black and white oposites. Nice subtle shading on the eyes too. I love the pose too, it's original and displays a great knowledge of anatomy. My one suggestion is to work better on the tail, the spots don't flow well over the scales. You show great attention to detail in other places, so showing a little more on the tail would produce an absolutely stunning result. It's a favorite anyway.
Thanks for the advice. I had a little problem coloring the scales because I couldn't quite remember how the spots were arranged. Maybe I'll go by the pond tomorrow and pay a little more attention to that detail.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
